We are an established agency supplying Walk-ons, Extras and Actors in Scotland. We have been around for over 15 years and we can offer free access to POP's paperless payment technology called Chitless.
We have invested in We Got Pop technology that is InfoSec approved by major studios Fox and Warners and provides high levels of security and compliance to a production.
We Got Pop make us efficient and effective. Our response times to requests for Background have never been quicker.
Our Looks Books contain up to date colour photos and measurements of everyone we suggest. We only suggest people who have said they are available for the dates specified by productions.
We celebrate and supply the growing requirement for BAME Artists and Actors.
We continually respond to the needs of all productions through connecting with local communities, interest groups and recruiting new, skilled and interesting talent.
We are flexible and agile allowing us to run ‘pop up’ casting for productions in locations across Scotland. GBM has popped up in the North East of Scotland to supply to the feature film Marionette filmed in Aberdeen and Portsoy. 2019 saw GBM popping up in Dundee to supply local faces to HBO Succession filmed in Dundee.
Owner and Casting Entrepreneur
Sneaker Freak or Alto as his friends know him as set up GBM Casting after being out as an Extra on BBC River City Series 1! He has Tim Bain 1st AD to thank for the encouragement to go for it.
Graeme oversees the financial aspects of GBM Casting to makes sure we all get paid. Just as importantly, Graeme keeps up to date by meeting everyone on our books, being involved in the casting process and speaking to the ADs and the productions we work with to make sure we are getting it right.
Director of Everything
Irenée is not Irene. However, she is too polite to let you know. GBM Casting could not do what it does without Irenée who amongst the change and chaos quietly casts and responds to everyones needs! She keeps track of where things are, has an eye for detail and delivers on time – all while bringing up her two teenage boys.
Irenée’s best moments were successfully casting for Young Begby & Young Renton for T2 and finding body doubles Claire & Brianna on Outlander. Irenée’s recent casting suggestions have led GBM Casting to supplying models to big clients like RBS, Tesco and Scotland is Now.
Business Development (Making lots of Noise about things that Matter)
Fiona was invited into the family business in 2017 to help move GBM Casting to the next level.
2018 saw Fiona out and about connecting with the industry and letting people know GBM Casting and Scotland are open for business. Her best moment to date was 8th February 2018 when she gave evidence at the Scottish Parliament Enquiry into the Scottish TV and Film Industry alongside Tommy Gormley!
2019 saw GBM Casting set up and sponser the Scottish TV & Film Network #STFN to help young people connect with people working in the Scottish TV & Film industry. The plan for 2020 is to further establish the #STFN through regular meetings and collaborating with key bodies in Scotland.
Fiona absolutely believes “Well behaved women seldom make history”
The Shelties (Tina, Guy and Jack)
You can hear them if you phone the office as they are guaranteed to bark during an important phone call!
Occasionally they make an appearance at the photo shoots. But only sometimes ♥️?
“I have worked with Graeme and his team at GBM casting for several years and have always found them a joy to work with. Once briefed they deliver a range of possible cast members quickly and if they don’t happen to have the right type on their books they will do their best to find that person elsewhere.
GBM work to my sometimes ridiculous tight timescales and even tighter budgets and I really get the impression that they know something about the people on their books (which is backed up on set when the cast talk about GBM)
The talent from GBM has always arrived promptly, been personable and at ease and know what is expected of them on set.
I can heartily recommend them for any casting requirements.”
